Description:

The Noyce Award was established in 1986 by Dr. Robert N. Noyce and recognizes Dr. Noyce's brother, Prof. Emeritus Donald S. Noyce, a long-time professor of chemistry at Berkeley. The award is open to tenure-track faculty members within the College of Chemistry and the Division of Physical Sciences within the College of Letters & Science.

Description: 

Annual award established in 2001 recognize faculty members who "create extraordinary research opportunities for students beyond the classroom, and who devote unusual time and effort to encouraging and developing undergraduate researchers." The five mentors selected from the five L&S divisions receive $2000 awards and are honored at a College ceremony in the fall.
