How to Apply for the Presidential Chair Fellows Program

Applicants should submit a letter of interest (one to two single-spaced pages) articulating their reasons for wanting to participate in the program. They should list their 2007-08 and 2008-09 teaching responsibilities.

Applicants should double check their own schedules for the year against the Program Schedule. Participants will be expected to attend all meetings, barring unforeseen circumstances.

Each application should include the following information: Applicant’s Name, Title, Department, Campus Mailing Address, Email Address, and Telephone Number.

The application (letter and list of courses) should be emailed to Steve Tollefson, tollef@berkeley.edu.

Deadline: Friday, June 13, 2008

Selection: Applications will be reviewed by the Committee on Teaching; the Committee’s selections will then be forwarded to the Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education who will make the final selection.
