Classroom Technology

Using instructional technology in the classroom includes everything from the whiteboard or chalkboard to audience response systems to video projection to rearranging the furniture to promote student engagement. Through collaborating with our academic partners on campus or connecting you with another instructor through our mentoring program, the CTL office is here to help you find the resources you need.

For resources and technical support related to installed classroom technology or to connect with an instructional designer who can help with best pedagogical practices for using audience response systems, contact Educational Technology Services (ETS). ETS works with faculty, staff, and students to promote the enhancement of learning through teaching with technology.

ETS Classroom Services Include:

UC Berkeley instructors may use the Request a Classroom Orientation/Consultation form to schedule a one-on-one orientation to classroom equipment, or talk with a technologist about integrating technology and course materials. for orientations to classroom equipment and consultations on integrating technology and course materials.

The Graduate Student Instructor Teaching & Resource Center has a great online guide about Tools for the Classroom Setting worth reading.
